Example: Brown, Black, Red, Gold = 1, 0, ×100, ±5% = 1000 µH = 1 mH ±5%

First 2 digits = significant, 3rd = multiplier (power of 10), result in nH.
100 = 10 × 10⁰ = 10 nH
101 = 10 × 10¹ = 100 nH = 0.1 µH
222 = 22 × 10² = 2200 nH = 2.2 µH

R-Notation (result in µH)
R acts as the decimal point, value in µH.
R47 = 0.47 µH = 470 nH
4R7 = 4.7 µH
1R0 = 1.0 µH
